Turkey begins manufacturing ventilators locally

The Turkish government announced starting the manufacturing and production of ventilators urgently, before registering any coronavirus case.

This decision was among a group of preparations the Turkish government announced to secure everything necessary to stand in the face of the global pandemic.

Four Turkish agencies have worked on the production of these devices, relying entirely on local resources.

The Turkish companies that collaborated to launch the production line are Archelik, Aselsan, Baykar, and BIOSYS.

The manufacturers delivered 100 devices to Bashaksehir medical city on the 20th of April 2020.

It is important to note that each device is combined with at least 200 pieces, all of which are made in Turkey.

Production is expected to reach 5,000 ventilators by the end of May 2020.

The Turkish efforts in the fight against the Coronavirus were not limited to this achievement.

Rather, work was also done to accelerate the opening of the medical city of Basaksehir, and many hospitals were built for those infected with Coronavirus to receive treatment.
